After the token, walking away costs money
Once the token is paid, a Vastu problem you find later is harder and dearer to act on. Before it, you can still ask for a different unit, or walk away.
Buying a home
The token amount is the last easy moment to say no. Check the home’s Vastu from its floor plan first: every room graded in 16 directions, the main door to its exact pada, and plainly, anything no remedy can fix. Flats, independent houses, duplexes and villas up to five floors, each floor graded on its own.

Why before the token
Once the token is paid, a Vastu problem you find later is harder and dearer to act on. Before it, you can still ask for a different unit, or walk away.
A brochure that says Vastu-compliant often means the main door faces a good direction. It rarely tells you where the toilets, the kitchen and the staircase fall.
Flats on two sides of a corridor, or row houses in the same lane, often use the same plan flipped, and the main door lands in a different pada. Two “identical” homes can grade very differently.
How to do it
Get the floor plan of the exact flat or house, take a photo, and run a Quick Scan. For a duplex or villa, choose the number of floors and upload one plan per floor. Your first scan is free, and the verdict is back in a couple of minutes, often before you have left the site office. How Quick Scan works
Stand at the centre of the home (or the sample flat), face north with your phone’s compass, and place each room, floor by floor. Compass Check needs no plan at all. How Compass Check works
Scan two or three homes and put them next to each other: scores, verdicts, and what each one gets right and wrong.
Before you sign, the Full Report grades every room across 16 directions, summed up in 8 zones, reads the main door to its exact pada, checks the classical defects, and ranks the remedies with what they cost.
Why VastuScan
A Quick Scan takes a couple of minutes, any day, at any hour, with no appointment. Builders often push to close the sale early; this lets you check before you are rushed into signing.
Every home is measured and graded by the same published rules, so when you compare three homes, the difference in score is the difference in the homes.
Experienced Vastu consultants are in demand, and the good ones are often booked weeks ahead. Your report gives them the plan reading, north and the grades in one place, so their visit can go straight to what matters.
Questions buyers ask
Use the plan of the exact home if you can get it. A brochure often shows a typical floor or a mirror image of your flat, which swaps where the rooms fall. If the brochure is all you have, check on site that rooms are on the same side as on the plan.
Yes. Floor-plan scans handle up to five floors and Compass Check up to four; each floor is graded on its own. The rules also look at what sits above and below: a toilet directly above or below the puja room or the kitchen is one of the Critical defects.
Caution means there are real problems, but remedies help. Look at the score after remedies and what those remedies involve. Many are about where the stove, the bed or storage go, and cost little or nothing.
Usually a Critical defect, such as a toilet or kitchen in the north-east, a staircase at the centre, or a main door in the south-west padas. Our rules have no remedy for these short of construction, and a single one caps the home at 40. Look at another unit or another home before you pay.
No. It gives you a clear first reading quickly, from the plan or on site. For a decision as big as a home, many buyers also consult an experienced Vastu expert, and the report gives that conversation a head start. It also helps when advice doesn’t quite add up: every grade in the report comes from a published rule you can read, so you can always ask why, and judge the answer for yourself.
